FIGHT or FLIGHT

Are you Tired? Feeling Down, Heavy-hearted or On the verge of quitting?

When they happen, what is your response, is it fight, or flight?

But what are these things that you are actually fighting for?
Are you fighting for you dreams?
Are you fighting for your status, be it in relationships, in your professions or careers?
Is there an unfulfilled goal that you are still fighting for and trying to achieve?
Are you fighting for you family?
Or are you fighting for your self?
If you are experiencing this, don't worry, you are not alone. I personally have been there, and young as i am, as i continue on this journey, i will again face it.

And so, we all have this one common denominator. That at some point, we all felt like QUITTING. Wishing to escape from all these.

Yet, about this matter, between fight and flight, flight will never be an option, and FIGHT will always be the action to do!

Now let me give you 5 quick tips on how to FIGHT!

F- is for focus. When you don't want to continue, go back to that very reason why you are on that path. What made you decide to do that in the firat place. Look back at those sacrifices before. That will somehow help you re-calibrate your mind and freshen up your thoughts.

I- is for Intervene. What does it mean to intervene. In this context, when pitiful thoughts are one by one falling in line trying to get into you, intervene early. Cut them short. Rest if you must, but dony quit. Try to de-clutter you brain and go back to f, which is focus. Don't let the negative thoughts enslave you. Part of intervention is talking to the right people. Ask for their advises.

G- is for Gather. Gather what? Gather inspiration. Where can you get that inspiration. Look for songs, stories, quotations or verses that will help strengthen you. Listen to and meditate on them. Yes, easier said than done, but try to fill you heart with things that will lift up your spirit.

H-is for humble. Learning to accept your situation and that you cannot do it alone is one of the first step to overcome whatever you are feeling right now. It takes a humble heart to acknowledge that you need help.
And that help can be found from the last letter.

T- which means trust. Trust who? Trust the Maker of all things, the author of your life. Trust God. He perfectly knows all things. All the first four tips will not be successful apart from Him. His word tells us that (Hebrews 10:12). Therefore we can hope in Him. Yes He uses people to help you, but He is also the source of their wisdom. All the first four tips will not be successful apart from Him, without JESUS in your heart. And all these can be found from His Word. His Word is not only inspiring, but also transforming. Yes, He may not change your circumstance, but He will change your heart. Will you allow God to change your heart by believing in Jesus as your Savior? He has the solution no one can offer. You can trust Him because He cares for you!

So Focus, Intervene, Gather, Humble and Trust.
Let us choose to fight!
